Youngs trophy model

picked this up off ebay recently and have spent a few months getting some parts sorted for it , as far as i know it is a youngs of lewisham trophy model from the late sixties to late seventies , impossible to date as there is no number on the frame and the youngs build records were lost during their last move , it does have a solid chainstay bridge , curved and filled (caliper mounting hole has a tube brazed in to prevent the bridge collapsing when the caliper is tightened ) seatstay bridge , fluted seatstay eyes which are all detailes used on youngs frames ,  really nice old bike , sprightly but relaxed , not quite as smooth and comfy as my vindec sws and not as light either but it feels robust , i suspect it was built as a randonneur/audax type machine that may have also been a club level sports racer . youngs used several builders over the decades one of which was Jim Collier , knowing his work has led me to believe that this may well be one of his creations , he had a way of finishing the lugs to a really nice level without removing too much material but still getting that 'moulded' type look that was only bettered by the bi-laminate claud buttlers . . the only thing i want to change on this old bike is to get the fork to a local builder and have another 10mm of rake added  as i cant abide the front wheel catching on my feet and thats with relatively short 170mm cranks , i usually use 172.5 drive side and 170 non drive to accommodate my wonky legs , the fork is either non original or was custom speced by the original owner . there is no need to have an interference front end on any bike other than fashion or cosmetics and bicycles that are for general use should always be designed with the mantra " form must follow function" . the paint is in need of restoration as it appears to have been repainted at some point and not very well , its like someone prepped and primed it really well , then it was out in the rain , allowed to dry and the nice green paint was blasted onto the frame without being cleaned first . there is no rust and the base primer is really well keyed to the steel but the top coat is rather poorly chosen , like the paint products came from different manufacturers and bond together as needed . its gonna be a tricky one to refinish as its metallic green and the crest decals are no longer available , i will probably mask the crests and really carefully rub it back to last stable coat then prime and paint it in the closest green i can find , the bands on the seat tube are decals so i will replace these with proper painted bands , i will also do the headtube white to match the seat tube bands , it will still be lined with champaign gold to match the crests and mudguards , i may even do a little box lining in white and gold
